I
am happy to take in on livery, or work with you at home and to help
with what ever equine requirement you have. I am based in Staffordshire
and work from my family's stud & livery yard, where we breed &
produce show horses.
I
have almost 30 years experience, an extensive background in many
equestrian fields and have gathered my qualifications along the way.
With my experience, my natural intuition with horses, my holistic approach and my passion for a
happy equine (and his owner!), I am capable of bringing harmony to a
team.
I am a positive, reward driven instructor, giving confidence and encouragement to horse and rider. I teach in classical capacity, with balcnce, flexibility, rhythm and straightness in mind. I teach riding correctly from the seat and aids, using simple excserisies to improving self carridge and cadence, correct seat and position. I try to make it fun for the young ones and practical and constructive for the grown ups.
I
will soon be offering courses from my yard, from simple lunging, school work, stable
management through to massage benefits and 'Reiki Relax Retreat Days' for you and your horse - Launch
expected Summer 2012, watch this space!!

EQUINE BODY WORK:
I use a combination of Sports Therapy Massage, Physical Therapy, Passive
Stretches, 80+ point checks and Deep Tissue Massage to bring an equine
to thier full potential and keep him at the top of his game.To identify
or help prevent, sub-optimal performance and promote well-being, improve
range of motion, performance and endurance, overall body condition,
enhance muscle tone, release muscle tension, spasms or stiffness and
improve flexibility and suppleness.
Does your equine show signs of:- A decrease in normal performance
- Is he one sided or uneven or stiff on one rein
- Is he bucking, rearing, bolting or napping
- Unwilling to work on through the bit or hollowing in the back
- Jumping flat and at speed instead of basculing, or refusing to jump at all
- Throwing his head through transitions
- Finding it difficult to collect or lengthen strides
- Shows signs of Intermittent lameness
Following just one treatment, your horse will be more flexible through his body, back and limbs, feel looser, more elastic and be capable of work more freely, be more willing to perform and be happier in his skin. A regular session will keep your Equine at the top of his game and help prevent injury.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The Veterinary Act (1966) and the subsequent exemptions; it is illegal for any person, other than the owner of the animal, to treat an animal unless the permission of the animals Veterinary Surgeon is sought and obtained.
60% of the horses body weight is muscle. Small muscle injuries can take up to 90
days to become apparent and by this time your horse may be suffering
from a variety of motion problems. Prompt attention to
these 'minor' muscle injuries not only enhances a horse's performance
but also may prevent future, larger problems. Muscle strain can be caused by
over use, fatigue or injury.
A slip, a fall, a change in discipline, ill fitting tack, schooling and
travel problems, conformation defects, poor conditioning, inconsistent footing are only a few of the causes.
Any horse whatever age, breed or work can benefit, it is not just for
sports horses or professionals.
"Prevent the problem, instead of waiting for the damage"
